MISys LAUNCHES INTEGRATION WITH SOLIDWORKS
Proven Manufacturing Software Application Improved for Engineer-To-Order Manufacturers.
Woodstock, VT – 05/04/2014. Manufacturing Information Systems, Inc (MISys) introduced the integration of its MISys Manufacturing software with SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software.
"The new integration makes it easy to create items and Bills of Material in MISys Manufacturing software from a product design in SOLIDWORKS," said Dave Brown, CEO and President of MISys. "It will save customers an incredible amount of time and work when moving from design to production."
Brown referenced a video produced by MISys that provides a detailed look at the integration. "The MISys Director of Technical Support, Doug Drew, did a really thorough run-through of the importation of a Bill of Materials from SOLIDWORKS to MISys Manufacturing," said Brown. "He shows what is needed if there is NOT an integration as well as the steps to use the new functionality to import the Bill of Materials."
The video is posted to the MISys website at https://misysinc.com/solidworks.
The new feature is included in version 6.2 of MISys Manufacturing software that was released to customers on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. In addition to the integration with SOLIDWORKS, the software publisher included many performance improvements to the product.
