RedXDefense offers a comprehensive suite of security solutions for combating explosive threats. Our customized security architecture uses innovative products and technologies implemented by subject matter experts and addresses a wide range of applications from portable trace detectors and guest screening systems to command and control software and canine remote handler technology.
The RedX team of engineers, scientists, graphics and industrial designers, and sales, business and finance professionals has the experience and capabilities to manage complex projects and usher new projects from concept to prototype to product, as demonstrated by the successful release of its first product, the XPAK, with a fluorescent detection ink for conventional high explosives.
The company has successfully productized various technologies into field-ready systems. The i-MODULE and XPAK SPOTLIGHT were developed on an accelerated timeline in response to an urgent request by forward deployed field users.
RedXDefense has been awarded contracts from customers such as the Department of Defense, Counter Terrorism Task Force (CTTF), DARPA, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Previous to purchasing MISys Manufacturing, what system(s) did you use to manage your manufacturing operation?
What problem/challenges were you trying to solve?
Gain control of the inventory and production schedule for a growing company. Needed to establish a level of confidence that they had what they needed in inventory to be able to satisfy their orders.
How did MISys address the challenges you mentioned above? What specific solutions did MISys bring to you?
They were able to validate the data coming out of the MRP system as being true and accurate. That gave them confidence to use the logic and the software that would make it easier for them to do their jobs.
What have the results been like? Have you quantified them in terms of ROI, order fulfillment, etc…?
They don’t think in terms of ROI, because they were not replacing a system or trying to justify it based on reduced inventory levels or reduced head count. Instead, MISys enabled them to get control of their inventory and production so that they could grow their business.
What was implementation like for you?
Implementation was stalled. The IT folks at RedXDefense were frustrated and were not able to run MRP or be confident in the information. With some help from the MISys tech support department, they were able to address the issues and get it up and running.
Would you recommend MISys to a friend or colleague?
RedXDefense is very happy with MISys. They admit that they use 60% of the capabilities of the system, and that there are probably ways they could improve their use of the system if they had the time to explore them or understand the software better.
